Major media is gushing over the Porsche Panamera.
Calling the Porsche Panamera “an outlier in lots of ways,” Forbes magazine said the sports sedan offers the widest range of configuration and personalization choices of any car on its list of top cars.
“The standard Panamera sedan is the smallest car on this list, but Porsche also offers a long-wheelbase version that offers a much larger backseat for luxury-minded buyers,” according to the article. “On top of that, it also builds the Panamera Sport Turismo, which is a hatchback-like station wagon with a much more useful cargo area and even more pleasing styling.”
It’s got “super-sedan” performance, many choices for customization, including a long-wheelbase model and hatchback variants – and six powerful engine options that churn out up to 690 horsepower,” according to Forbes.
But such configurations take a backseat to power when it comes to Porsche, Forbes wrote, noting that the V6 models come in 335 or 443 horsepower variants while also offering rear- or all-wheel drive and various levels of tune. The V8s, meanwhile, offer 473 and 620 horses, and the new E-hybrid V6 (455 hp) and E-Hybrid V8 (690 hp) can give you an additional boost, with the latter offering a searing zero-to-60 of 2.9 seconds.
“These are super-sedans, and they drive and look like slinky sports cars that just happen to have four doors and luxury interiors,” Forbes wrote.

And Forbes isn’t the only publication raving about the Panamera.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch noted that the electric-assisted Panameras deliver all the power you’d expect of the German automaker and more. “The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid (turns) in some pretty impressive performance numbers: total-system power of 462 hp, pavement-powdering twist in the form of 516 lb.-ft. of total-system torque, zero-to-60 mph sprints in the mid 4’s and a top speed of 172 mph.”
The DW Newspaper in Germany called the same hybrid Panamera: “fast, comfortable and high quality.”
Hot Cars magazine said the Panamera is “arguably the best driving four-door sedan on the market today.
And Car & Driver weighed in with this: “With agile handling and a smooth ride, especially when equipped with the optional adjustable air suspension, the Panamera is a thrill to drive. It also provides the comfort and luxury expected of such an expensive four-door hatchback.”
Furthermore, US News ranked the Panamera as one of the top four luxury cars of 2023. “The 2023 Porsche Panamera blends practicality, performance, and luxury in a way that few other cars do,” the magazine enthused.
The 2023 Panamera has all the sportiness and great handling you’d expect of a Porsche, augmented by a dazzling array of powertrains for every desire – including the fuel-efficient plug-in hybrid version, according to US News.
“The Panamera also boasts impressive passenger and cargo space, along with a refined interior and more features than you can shake a stick at,” according to the ranking in US News. “You should buy the Panamera if you want a super luxury car that prioritizes thrilling driving dynamics but also provides everyday utility and comfort.
