The 2024 Porsche Taycan is expected to have a refreshed design and new equipment. But it’s a rumored triple-motor variant with an incredible horsepower exceeding 1,000 horsepower that is generating all the buzz.
Porsche has been working on updates for the 2024 Porsche Taycan, which is expected to retail at a starting price of about $90,000.
The refresh should bring substantial updates to the company’s first all-electric car.

Spy pictures show that Porsche engineers are also testing the new Taycan Cross Turismo and the new Taycan Sport Turismo – and all of the Taycan models should look a bit different in 2024.
Among other things, the 2024 Porsche Taycan should feature changes to the bumper, lights, and grilles across body styles and variants, according to media spy shots.
The current Taycan is available in sedan, Cross Turismo, and Sport Turismo versions.
The sedan comes in base, 4S, GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S variants while the Cross Turismo’s variant line-up includes 4, 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S.
The Sport Turismo, meanwhile, is available in standard, 4S, GTS, Turbo, and Turbo S variants.
It’s likely that Porsche may offer several new wheel options for the 2024 Taycan.
But it’s the rumored triple-motor 1,000 hp variant that is setting the stage for a dramatic 2024.

Tentatively known as the Taycan Turbo GT, the prototype stands out thanks to its massive rear wing and a pronounced spoiler.
The model also appears to have the same front fascia as the facelifted variant “and the blocky camouflage at the outside corners could be hiding canards,” according to Auto Blog website.
“There isn’t much else to see, but the prototype has Turbo-style side skirts and black wheels that are backed up by a high-performance braking system. The latter has large drilled discs and black calipers with Porsche lettering.”
“Porsche has been tight-lipped about the prototype, but it’s expected to slot above the Taycan Turbo S which develops 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 774 lb-ft (1,048 Nm) of torque when using Launch Control. This enables the EV to rocket from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 2.6 seconds, before hitting a top speed of up to 161 mph (259 km/h),” according to the Auto Blog.
The car could be equipped with a tri-motor all-wheel drive system that produces around 1,000 hp, the media outlet noted. “Thanks to the insane output, the electric American can hit 60 mph in 1.99 seconds and top out at 200 mph, all while having an EPA estimated range of 396 miles.”
It also has skinny tires, and massive brakes – all of which send up signals that it’s even more performance-oriented than the Turbo S variant which tops the range of the outgoing model.
With all these changes afoot, Porsche could be aiming to make the Taycan the world’s fastest electric car with the launch of such a variant. According to insiders, Porsche could name this variant ‘Turbo GT.’
